Sr. Web Developer – Full Stack Opportunity

SUMMARY

This position provides oversight, solution architect, and programming skills to ensure proper design, development, implementation and life cycle support of web-based applications. The efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of the applications and systems under this position's charge are of the utmost importance to the company and key stakeholders – to include leadership, staff, members, volunteer governance, customers, and partners – since many determine the success or failure of the organization's ability to monetize its intellectual property. The role typically reports to a Manager or Director level position and does not necessarily have any direct reports. As a senior level role, this position will require more authority to make decisions.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

– Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field, or equivalent training, and professional experience
– Expert knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
– A minimum of 6 years' industry experience building web applications
– Expert experience building web applications in Node.js and React.js or Angular.js
– Experience in using node frameworks, such as Express.js
– Experience with HTML5/CSS3, building complex web user interfaces
– Experience with LESS and SASS
– Solid understanding of RESTful principles and experience creating RESTful APIs
– Excellent troubleshooting skills
– Strong communication skills are a must
